Westmore Strategies' Commitment to Combatting Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Westmore Strategies has taken significant steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not present in our supply chains or any part of our business. This statement pertains exclusively to Westmore Strategies and its operations. References to “our people” pertain solely to individuals working on behalf of Westmore Strategies. In compliance with Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, this statement details the measures Westmore Strategies has implemented to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains and business operations. This statement covers the financial year ending 31 December 2023 and was approved by the Westmore Strategies Board of Governors on 18 April 2024. Overview The Modern Slavery Act requires commercial organizations with a turnover exceeding £36 million to publish an annual 'Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement'. This statement must outline the steps taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not occurring in any part of the business or supply chain. Understanding Modern Slavery Modern slavery is an international crime affecting millions of people worldwide, transcending age, gender, and ethnicity. Vulnerable individuals, both domestically and internationally, are forced to work illegally across various sectors such as agriculture, construction, hospitality, retail, and manufacturing. Our Organizational Structure and Supply Chains Westmore Strategies is a private company incorporated in England and Wales. Our workforce primarily consists of professionally qualified individuals employed directly by Westmore Strategies or seconded from partner firms in a few countries. Our policies ensure fair treatment of our personnel globally. Our external suppliers are predominantly UK and US-based companies in low-risk sectors (e.g., professional services) and higher-risk sectors (e.g., events and travel). Policies Related to Slavery and Human Trafficking Westmore Strategies has a zero-tolerance stance on violations of the UK’s anti- human trafficking and anti-modern slavery laws. We support companies within our supply chain in complying with these laws. Our core values—Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect, and Responsibility—shape our culture and business practices, reflecting our commitment to fairness, transparency, and trust. Procedures to Address Modern Slavery Risk Modern Slavery Policy: Outlines key issues and response processes, including internal concern-raising mechanisms. Ethics Hotline: Allows anonymous reports from our people. Complaint Handling: Processes for addressing external complaints. Employment Policies: Ensure fair treatment and promote an inclusive workplace. Recruitment Processes: Comply with relevant employment laws. Market-Related Pay and Rewards: Reviewed annually. Wellbeing Strategy: Supports physical and mental health. Procurement Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct: Sets standards for supplier interactions. Due Diligence, Risk Assessment, and Management Our policies and procedures include due diligence on suppliers per our procurement policy. We assess companies, particularly in high-risk areas like hotel and conference facilities, to mitigate risks. Performance Indicators We track complaints received through our ethics hotline and other sources, along with the actions taken. To date, Westmore Strategies has not identified any instances of modern slavery. Training Westmore Strategies provides periodic training to increase awareness and understanding of modern slavery and our policies to combat it.
